The Import function is used to import an exported file (.xml) of the desired roles with their associated permission from another LCMS installation.

1. On the LCMS Home screen, click the Role Management link to open the Role Management screen.
2. On the Role Management screen, click the Import button to open the Import Roles screen.

3. On the Import Roles screen, click the Choose File field and then locate the .xml file to import into LCMS.
4. Click the Import button to upload the .xml file.

5. Click the Import button to upload the file (.xml) that was exported. Note: All roles will be imported as non-system roles with the inactive status. Additional, they will display in the list with (imported) appended.
