Versioning Tab

On the Versioning pane, click the Enable checkbox to enable the media versioning feature in the Media Versioning field. When media versioning is enabled, each time the media asset is updated a new version of the media asset will automatically be created. The newly created version of the media asset will not affect older versions. Therefore, older versions of the media asset that exist in activities will not be affected by the newer version of the media asset. Note: When this feature is enabled and saved in a project, it can no longer be turned off.

Enter the desired value in the Default Version field to set the initial version number assigned to the media asset for the project, if required. Note: Modifying this field will override the Default Version set in Application Preferences. See Application Preferences Versioning Tab for more information.

4.	Enter the desired value in the Increment By field to set the increment value to be used when versioning the media asset.

5.	Click the Allow Version Number to be overridden checkbox, if required. Note: When enabled, users will be able to modify the calculated version number at the time of versioning.

6.	Click the Require comment on update checkbox to enable this feature, if required. Note: When enabled, users will be required to leave a comment about the change made to the media asset.

7.	Click the Allow updates to be pushed to the content checkbox to enable this feature, if required. Note: When enabled, all instances of the media asset will automatically be updated.

On the Push new versions to screens when...drop-down menu, click the checkbox for the desired activity production status. Multiple activity production statuses may be selected. The new media update will be pushed to the selected activity production status(es). Note: Leave the list unchecked if restrictions for when the new media update may be pushed are not required.
