Administrators may customize the domain for background services used for tasks such as course publishing if required. Important Note: Only modify this field if it is a requirement of your network environment. This field should be left blank to use the LCMS detected value.

To configure the background services setting:

1. On the LCMS Home screen, click the Application Preferences link to open the Application Preferences screen.
2. On the Application Preferences screen, click the Background Services tab from the Components menu to open the Background Services pane.
3. On the Background Services pane, enter the desired services domain in the Services Domain field. Note: This field should be left blank to use the LCMS deleted value. Only change if the detected domain does not work properly.
4. Click the Test button to test the domain entry.
5. Click the Clear button to clear the entry.

6. On the Background Services pane, click the LCMS_Submit button to save the changes or click the LCMS_Cancel button to return to the previous screen without saving.
